Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb s (680g) salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh dill, for garnish

Method

  1. Cut. Remove the skin from the salmon and cut the fillet into even 1-inch cubes. Try to keep them roughly the same size so they cook evenly.
  2. Season. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon cubes and gently toss until fully coated.
  3. Arrange. Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Leave a little space between each piece for air circulation (don't stack them).
  4. Cook. Air fry at 400F (200C) for 7 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The bites are done when they're golden on the outside and flake easily with a fork.
  5. Serve. Transfer to a plate, squeeze fresh lemon over the top, and scatter dill over everything. Serve with sriracha mayo on the side if you like some heat.

Notes

Cut the salmon into even-sized cubes so they all finish cooking at the same time. Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed. Overcrowding leads to steaming instead of crisping. Pat the salmon dry before tossing with the seasoning. This helps the outside get crispy.
