Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet skin removed, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. **Prep.** Pat salmon cubes dry. Toss with cornstarch, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. **Preheat.** Preheat air fryer to 400F for 3 minutes.
  3. **Fry.** Arrange salmon in a single layer. Air fry 7 to 8 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
  4. **Glaze.** While salmon cooks, simmer honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small pan for 2 minutes until thickened.
  5. **Toss.** Transfer salmon to a bowl. Pour glaze over and toss to coat.
  6. **Serve.** Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice or salad.

Notes

Use center cut salmon fillets. Thinner tail pieces cook unevenly and overcook fast. Pat salmon dry with paper towels before coating. Wet fish steams instead of crisping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
