Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 cups baby spinach packed
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 1 cup milk whole, oat, or almond
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple optional
  • 4 ice cubes

Method
 

  1. **Liquid.** Pour milk into the blender.
  2. **Greens.** Add spinach and blend 30 seconds until liquefied.
  3. **Avocado.** Add avocado, frozen banana, lemon juice, and honey.
  4. **Blend.** Blend 45 seconds until silky.
  5. **Ice.** Add ice cubes and blend 15 more seconds.
  6. **Serve.** Pour into a tall glass. Garnish with chia seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Half a ripe avocado is perfect. More makes it heavy. Use baby spinach. Mature spinach has tough stems. Store for up to 12 hours in the fridge. Browns after that.
