- Preheat oven to 400F. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Rest 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in an oven safe skillet over medium high heat. Sear chicken skin side down for 6 to 7 minutes without moving.
- Flip thighs skin side up and pour off all but 1 tbsp of rendered fat.
- Whisk balsamic, honey, soy sauce, garlic, Dijon, rosemary, and red pepper flakes. Pour around thighs.
- Transfer skillet to oven. Bake 20 to 22 minutes until chicken hits 175F internal.
- Return to stovetop and swirl in cold butter until glossy.
- Spoon glaze over thighs, scatter parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Sear skin side down without moving for 7 minutes. Pour glaze around, not on top of, the chicken. Finish with butter off heat for glossy sauce.
