Method
- **Heat treat.** Spread cake mix in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 75 seconds, stirring every 25 seconds, to kill raw flour bacteria. Cool 5 minutes.
- **Beat.** Beat softened cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk 2 minutes until completely smooth.
- **Mix.** Add vanilla, almond extract, and cooled cake mix. Beat 1 minute until evenly combined.
- **Fold.** Gently fold in whipped topping in 3 additions until no white streaks remain.
- **Sprinkle.** Fold in 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles.
- **Chill.** Transfer to a serving bowl and chill 30 minutes for the dip to firm up.
- **Serve.** Top with remaining 1/4 cup sprinkles and serve with animal crackers, graham crackers, or vanilla wafers.
