Ingredients
Method
- Prep. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange lemon slices in 4 clusters on the pan. Place a salmon fillet on top of each lemon cluster.
- Season. Mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, dill, and parsley in a small bowl. Spoon the herb butter over each salmon fillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast. Arrange asparagus around the salmon if using. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145F in the thickest part.
- Serve. Transfer to plates with the roasted lemon slices underneath. Squeeze extra lemon over the top if desired.
Notes
Don't overcook the salmon. Pull it at 145F for perfectly tender, flaky fish. Lemon slices under the salmon prevent sticking and add flavor from below. Pat the salmon dry before seasoning for better browning.
