Method
- **Crush.** Pulse Oreos in a food processor into fine crumbs. Set aside 1 cup for top, save the rest for layers.
- **Beat.** Beat softened cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar 2 minutes until fluffy and smooth.
- **Pudding.** In a separate bowl whisk pudding mix with cold milk 2 minutes until thickened. Let sit 5 minutes.
- **Combine.** Fold pudding into the cream cheese mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in whipped topping until smooth.
- **Layer.** In a 9x13 inch dish, layer 1/3 of the remaining Oreo crumbs, then half the pudding mixture. Repeat: crumbs, pudding, crumbs.
- **Top.** Sprinkle reserved 1 cup Oreo crumbs over the top in an even layer. Cover and chill 4 hours.
- **Decorate.** Press gummy worms partially into the top so they stick out like worms in dirt. Slice and serve.
Notes
Use full size Oreos and crush them in a food processor or zip bag with a rolling pin. Soften cream cheese 1 hour at room temp for the smoothest filling. Use cold milk straight from the fridge for the pudding to set thick.
