Method
- Pat chicken dry and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4 minutes without moving, then 3 more minutes until golden on all sides.
- Whisk honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Pour sauce over chicken. Bubble hard 1 minute. Stir in cornstarch slurry and toss 1 more minute until thick and sticky.
- Build bowls: layer rice, broccoli, and sticky chicken. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Pat chicken completely dry before coating. Do not move during the first 4 minutes of searing. Add the cornstarch slurry at the end for a glossy sticky glaze.
